i am trying to stream manager for this i visited a url [http://localhost:8086/streammanager](http://localhost:8086/streammanager) .it is showing a dialog box written with two fields username and password.i am following WowzaMedia Server User guide on Advance configuration.before visiting this url i changed Admin.password file.when i opened it it was blank i added a line myuser mypassword but when i try to login with these credentials .i am not able to login .can any oneplease suggest where i am mistaking ?? i am using google chrome browser.please see this query for images [http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16870916/the-server-localhost8086-requires-a-username-and-password-the-server-says](http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16870916/the-server-localhost8086-requires-a-username-and-password-the-server-says)

Hi,

The only thing I can think of would be you have left the # at the beginning of the line you have added. Any line with a # at the beginning is a comment.

The file should be named “admin.password” and be in the /conf folder

i didn’t use # in Admin.password file as u can see in the stackoverflow query link .andrew\_k please help a little so that i proceed further !! my Admin.password file content is only one line that is

“myuser mypassword”

still facing error please help what should be the content of Admin.password file ??
