# the host address is missing or invalid

I use the source code of wowza gocoder sdk but i can’t streaming the video. I got " the host address is missing or invalid" alert is generated

Hi,

It sounds like you were unable to configure the broadcastConfig parameters in your app. Here’s our step-by-step guide on creating an [iOS](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-build-a-basic-app-with-gocoder-sdk-for-ios) and [Android](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-build-a-basic-app-with-gocoder-sdk-for-android) app based on our SDK. In particular, you will need to setup your broadcastConfig object and set the hostAddress, port and other attributes for this object.

which one in the overview tab is host address. Because i am adding “Primary Server” value as host address but it says server hostname or address is not recognised…

Same problem here. I followed instructions on the page shared by Michelle B, however, no luck. 😕
