# Textstream offset in SMIL file

Hello, I have this smil file:

I want to have a specific time offset between the video and the subtitle. Is there a way to put this offset to the smil file, so I don’t need to change the vtt file?

I have already tried “begin” and “clipBegin” on the textstream, in order to start later than the video but none of these solutions worked. Thank you in advance.

Update from Wowza engineers: It would probably need a modification to the vtt Timed Text Provider which would require internal development. It would require custom code and you could reach out to Wowza Pro Serv. Sorry, I couldn’t be of more help.
