# tell me URL for i-tune media player using http:// protocol

tell me the url for itune using http protocol … , my task is to play offlline radio(.mp3) on localhost using wowza server. it is playing on VLC player using http & rtsp protocol… but when i copied the same http protocol and paste it on itune stream url it cant play , is there is any specific protocol for i tune .
following is the list of my URL which successfully play on VLC player …
VLC
1. [[http://localhost:1935/live/rsstream0/playlist.m3u8]](http://localhost:1935/live/rsstream0/playlist.m3u8%5D) …Successfully open stream
2. [rtsp://localhost:1935/live/rsstream0]… Successfully open stream , where ‘live’ is my application name and ‘rsstream0’ is my stream name

1)http:// ---- ? tell me this URL for i tune using http:// protocol

Hi,
It’s my understanding that iTunes doesn’t support this anymore, although I’m not sure.
I think in the older versions this was available using the same format as the HTTP URL you have above but it may have been taken out for some reason.
I recommend you ask in the Apple forum for assistance as I can’t be absolutely sure.

Hi,
If you’re able to play the stream from Wowza using the Apple HLS URL with an iOS device and VLC player then it suggests that the issue lies with iTunes not making the request.
As we know Wowza is streaming to the above clients and it works, this confirms Wowza is configured correctly. From what you’ve said, it appears that iTunes doesn’t allow this.
I recommend you ask in the [Apple forum](https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa) for assistance as it appears to be a iTunes issue or restriction.
The Apple support staff will know iTunes and it’s streaming/playback abilities in more depth and will know if this is possible.

yes, i tune support http:// protocol but on server side that is live stream Radio ,but i want local host side .
as our wowza -user guide say " Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch (Apple HTTP Live Streaming) [[http://mycompany.com:1935/live/myStream/playlist.m3u8]](http://mycompany.com:1935/live/myStream/playlist.m3u8%5D) URL to play stream.

yes, i asked apple forum about this issue , the itune play the online radio using http:// protocol . so it is also possible to play http:// localhost url live stream … i think it is possible for the wowza to play this stream using http:// protocol .
