# StreamNameAlias on Wowza 4.0

Dear,
anh want reg more alias for the stream.
my live stream: channel1.stream
please help me switch to: mychannel1.stream and ourchannel1.stream.
i much try config in ${com.wowza.wms.context.VHostConfigHome}/conf/aliasmap.play.txt
> \*.stream=${Stream.Name}
>
> \*=${Wildcard.Match1}.stream
>
> \*.stream==${Stream.Name}
>
> \*=${Stream.Name}.stream
but it’s not work and report log access.

Hello there.
I am sorry but I am not 100% sure what you have going on here, but its worth mentioning that you cannot use alias names with .stream extension in StreamNameAlias. There is no way around that right now. Wowza treats stream names with .stream extension as aliases that resolve to the contents of the file, so you can’t use them as an alias in StreamNameAlias.
If I have misunderstood your question I apologize. Please feel free to explain your requirements again if this is not a satisfactory response.
