# Stream with DVR records that have not been recorded with DVR

Hello,

what is the best/fastest way to resolve my problem :

I have .m4v files that I want to stream with Wowza DVR.

Hi Nicolas,

Wowza nDVR operates on Wowza “live” streams. It isn’t available directly with VOD files. It is however possible to “publish” VOD files to a live Wowza application, and then apply DVR to that stream. [This article](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-schedule-streaming-with-wowza-streaming-engine-streampublisher%28ServerListenerStreamPublisher%29) has examples of how to publish files to a live application.
