# Stream FLV to DASH player

In Wowza examples I see you can stream MP4 file to Flash Player.

Can you stream FLV file to DASH Player?

I tired:

```auto
http://localhost:1935/vod/38-1.flv/manifest.mpd 

```

but I get:

```auto

I get:

ERROR server comment - MediaReaderFactory.getInstance: Missing definition for [COLOR="#FF0000"]flvmpegdash[/COLOR]

Hi,

Unfortunately it is not possible to stream FLV to MPEG-DASH. This protocol requires that you use source in an MP4 container. You can convert your FLV sources to MP4 using a variety of tools. For example [this thread](http://superuser.com/questions/624565/ffmpeg-convert-flv-to-mp4-without-losing-quality) has some suggestions.
