# Stream Files - HTTP Not Working

Hello there,

We want to use the WOWZA for our project. Live again we want to send and receive broadcasts from the HTTP protocol on the application.

Sample post: [http://1.1.1.1:80/S1/HLS\_LIVE//prog\_index.m3u8](http://1.1.1.1:80/S1/HLS_LIVE//prog_index.m3u8)

Application over STREAM FILES menu under the “Add File Stream” I want to add. but it does not accept broadcast over the HTTP protocol.

When I add the protocol RTMP Stream File running smoothly.

Do not have HTTP Support?

Hi,

That’s correct, Wowza Streaming Engine does not support the ingest of video streams using HTTP protocols at this time. This has already been added as a feature request to our backlog and I will add +1 to increase the priority. Features which are added to our backlog are reviewed and considered for future versions of Wowza Streaming Engine. At this time I can’t confirm if the feature will be approved and if so, any time-scales for it’s availability.
