# Stats & pass-through not available in HLS

Hello,

Right now I didn’t find any way to monitor clients stats using cloud system. Is there a trick to do that on my own ?

Also, it looks like when using HLS streams, pass-through video & audio (usually maximum quality) is not available. Why ?

Hello,

All of the available monitoring options are outlined in the [Wowza Streaming Cloud User’s Guide](https://www.wowza.com/resources/WowzaStreamingCloud_UsersGuide.pdf) on pages 47-49.

To address your question regarding HLS reporting, Total Unique Users numbers doesn’t include clients that play the stream through the Adobe HDS or Apple HLS direct playback URLs.

We are looking to add additional features to the Wowza Streaming Cloud, however, I do not know when or if the feature you are requesting would be implemented.

I hope this sheds some light on monitoring in Wowza Cloud for now.
