So I have just configured my streams from RTMP to UDP. I am running Wowza 4.1 on windows, and have successfully added my stream files. I have added these to my startup stream also. However, i have noticed that when i manually restart the server software, the streams do not restart. I have to manually add them.

This is not good for the ‘Always on’ connection i need. Has anyone else seen this or know how to fix it?

If someone from Wowza wants to connect in and check it out i can provide remote desktop credentials…

Hi,

We don’t connect to customer platforms so apologies for that.

Can you examine your StartupStreams.xml (found in /conf) and double check you are referencing a stream file for that application? Also if possible check the wowzastreamingengine\_access.log at the same time to see if there is anything of interest there.

If you’re still having difficulties, create a ticket referencing this post to support@wowza.com and someone will look at it very quickly for you.

Include zipped up copies of

[install-path]/conf

[install-path]/logs

[install-path]/manager

and copies of the stream files that you are using.

Paul
