Would it be advisable to use SSD’s in Wowza Streaming Engine servers? Is there constant writing to disk? If so, would these excessive writes cause premature failure of SSD’s?

Hi @Steven_Watson, it depends on your workflow, as recording can be toggled on an off within WSE Manager.

If you have many startup streams, but aren’t doing recording or are doing light recording, then an SSD could be a good choice. HDDs are also viable depending on the HDD, but we do not recommend going below 7,200 RPM.
