Using Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) to stream to Wowza Streaming Engine is a great option when dealing with noisy networks.

SRT delivers reliable, [low-latency streams](https://www.wowza.com/blog/what-is-low-latency-and-who-needs-it) — regardless of network quality. Broadcasters using it benefit from packet loss recovery, simplified firewall traversal, and the ability to encrypt the stream for end-to-end security.

With Wowza Streaming Engine, you can ingest MPEG-TS packaged Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) streams and deliver the streams to viewers with the Stream Targets feature. Wowza Streaming Engine supports SRT version 1.4 and earlier.

This article describes how to configure Wowza Streaming Engine to ingest SRT streams and deliver them to to viewers.
