# slow to make first connection

once playing speed is fine. but slow to initiate connection and playback of VOD video after play button is pressed

what is cause?

e.g.

first video play: 40 sec load

skip ahead in video timeline: 3 seconds play

nex vidt: 40 sec load

Hi, can you please provide more detail about this?

What player are you testing in?

RTMP? HLS? etc.

It is not clear by your post what you are asking.

note: i am at a client location of internet speed of only 3.5 - 5 MBPS…is that the reason?

however, i will add…i have public (cloudfront) private (wowza) setup and cloudfront does not have this issue
