# Seeking Transcoder license clarification

Hi,

Has anything changed with the Transcoder add-on licensing in v4 (WSE) monthly/daily license? Could someone please confirm if the transcoder add-on needs to be purchased separately now? And if there are 10 simultaneous streams, would that need 10 licenses to be purchased? Seeking clarification on behalf of a client.

Hello.

The Transcoder AddOn comes with the Monthly license, you do not need a separate license to acquire the AddOn. If you do not use the AddOn you do not have to pay addition fees. There is a pricing structure that can be found on the [pricing page](https://www.wowza.com/pricing#)that outlines the monthly cost for running the Transcoder. Click on the **(additional fees apply)** link

The Daily License option has been discontinued.
