# Screen share

Hello

I want to make screenSharing of my desktop and broadcast it as live stream (like from webcam)

Can I do it with wowza?

Hello vfedorov,

Yes, you can do this with any encoder/program that can capture the desktop and stream to Wowza. For example you can use ffmpeg, Elecard Codecworks, or easily with the VLC GUI.

It looks like that link you posted is a Java web-start application that is able to capture the desktop and publish it as an RTMP stream. Wowza can re-stream RTMP streams. So, you can probably use that JAVA program to publish to Wowza.
