We want to find an efficient way to scale transcoding/streaming in Azure. Is there any documentation or guidelines for using Azure VM Scale Sets and Azure load balancer to accomplish this?

Seems like we should be able to create a scale set of compute instances that can each handle decent number of transcode jobs, then dynamically scale up/down using scale set rules, I can’t seem to find any Wowza specific info on how to do this.

Thanks,

Andy Covell

Hello,

There currently isn’t any Wowza created articles that describe how to utilize Scale Sets in Azure but this should be possible and Azure has some information on how to use Scale Sets that can be found here:

[Virtual Machine Scale Sets](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/virtual-machine-scale-sets-overview/)

If you have any specific questions with the setup, please add them to the post for further assistance.

Best regards,

Andrew
