Hello,

we have a problem with audio files streamed by Wowza 4 and vtt.

It doesn’t works on Safari (Desktop or iOS ).

The problem occurs when we use tag with HLS protocol and with vtt side loaded.

Test page: [http://www.fdambrosio.net/test/player7/safari.html](http://www.fdambrosio.net/test/player7/safari.html)

We see a security error on Safari: Cross-origin text track load denied by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy.

We’ve checked that vtt files has header: Access-Control-Allow-Origin \*

So why it’s happen?

Thanks,

Francesco

Hi,

You may need to enable CORS to allow your crossdomain.xml file to be accessed. Please see [this article](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-enable-cross-origin-resource-sharing-cors-for-http-based-streams%28CORS%29-for-HTTP-based-streams) for how to do this.

Thanks Jason,

we don’t know if this is an issue, we’ve fixed crossorigin.xml message error, but we see that we’re unable to play audio hls with vtt captions on Safari.

This test page is complete: [http://www.fdambrosio.net/test/player7/safari-bug.html](http://www.fdambrosio.net/test/player7/safari-bug.html)

How can we fix it?

Regards,

Francesco
