Hello, I am trying to use amazon s3 vod (private) in a Wowza on EC2. I am working properly in the transmission of vod streaming is ios http, rtmp, with video on demand from the amazon s3, all perfect. But I’m not getting access to this same rtsp (for android, galaxy tab) video encoded in mp4, h264/aac. I’ve left all the released UDP ports, and still no success. I’m trying: rtsp://my\_ip\_wowza\_ec2:1935/vods3/_definst_/mp4:amazons3/slidecasts/f3f2f7a5a86b046e232a3bfc7d76f1c7.mp4 Any idea? Thanks! ---

Hi What do your logs say when you try the connection? and do you connect then disconnect or does it just fail altogether? there is a trouble shoot guide here, [https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-troubleshoot-rtsp-rtp-playback](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-troubleshoot-rtsp-rtp-playback)) You could possibly have your application.xml configured to not allow access by mistake, so that’s worth checking too. Carlos, Actually, yes, we took a look at this. There will be a fix for this included in the next Wowza 3 patch (not out yet). In the meantime, you should be able to fix this by adding “_definst_”. The problem is above the error: ModuleStreamNameAlias.onAppStop: vods3/mp4:amazons3 Wowza thinks “mp4:amazon…” is an application instance. It should be: ModuleStreamNameAlias.onAppStop: vods3/_definst_/mp4:amazons3 So where you are using that, insert _definst_ Richard ---

You just have to change /conf/vods3/Application.xml /RTP /Authentication /PlayMethod from “digest” to “none” Richard ---

The only thing I found different in the log with RTSP was this: Look this: If I try to connect via Quicktime, it connects longer asks username and password. Someone of you has any idea if there is any configuration to use RTSP to use on Amazon EC2 Wowza with videos on demand with amazon s3 in private? ---
