# RTSP not working after upgrade to Wowza 4.7

Because of the recently announced security update we upgraded our Wowza installation from version 4.4 to 4.7.1 with a huge impact: we are now unable to play RTSP streams with a specific Android 4.4 device. This is what we have tested so far with “Big Buck Bunny”:

- Wiko Rainbow with Android 4.4.2 and stock Video Player: no video, but audio
- Wiko Rainbow with Android 4.4.2 and VLC: stream plays fine
- Galaxy S7 with Android 7: stream plays fine
- Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.2.1: stream plays fine

The Wiko is also able to stream the RTSP from the [mobile site](https://www.wowza.com/html/mobile.html) which seems to run Wowza 4.5. So I would not blame it on the device because it worked before.

Do you have any hints which change between Wowza 4.5 and 4.7.1 could have caused this issue? Could the newly added WebRTC support interfere with RTSP handling? Are there any properties we can try to set?

We have also upgraded WowzaStreamingEngine from v4.5 to v.4.7.1.  
After upgrading RTSP playback is not working on iOS app

Hi there,

As an update: there was a bug in 4.7.1 which caused some RTSP issues. Upgrading to 4.7.2 fixed this for us!
