# rtmp playback audio sync issues

hi have an audio sync problem.
on my old wowza 3.62 i had no such problems its only when i moved to latest wowza 4 that i have audio not syncing correctly. is there any way i can tweak this?
ps http is fine for audio sync , just rtmp that i have problems with
cheers can anyone advise?

What is the source of your stream?
Details about your encoder?
What are the audio and video codecs of the stream?
In what player are you seeing this discrepancy?

Hi,
Did you try adding a packet sorter as suggested in the [guide here](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-fix-unaligned-video-and-audio-with-a-server-side-sort-buffer)?
See if that helps.

hi yes thankyou i am using xsplit latest version as encoder
playing back on gstreamer.010 on linux. using set top box not a player

thankyou i add this function and experiment. do you recommend a correct buffer size i send rtmp streams at 1.3 mbps , use 750?
