# Restart Wowza Streaming Engine without delete the mediacache files?

On wowza 3.x.x I can avoid to flush cache content ading to server properties:

mediaCacheOnStartReloadCache

true

Boolean

I tried this on Wowza 4 and the cache flush always on restart. There is any solution?

Hi,

I think you’re looking for the [MediaCache](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-scale-video-on-demand-streaming-with-media-cache#mediacacheconf_properties) article which shows the Properties that are available through Wowza Streaming Engine Manager.

Thanks for your quickly answer, I was trying the old metod. Now it´s working fine
