Hi guys,

I have configured my EC2 Wowza server (from an existing Wowza AMI) and it’s perfect. Now, I have to create 5 more servers with the exact same configuration. It won’t allow me to create my own AMI so what is the best way to replicate this server?

I have 20 Icecast streams being relayed from it so I’d rather find a way to copy the server rather than re-creating each one manually.

Thanks,

Adrian

Hi,

You can create a Wowza EC2 startup package that will be applied to every new EC2 instance you create, thus starting additional EC2 instances, that will use the same Wowza setup.

Please see the “[Wowza Streaming Engine for Amazon EC2 User’s Guide](https://www.wowza.com/resources/WowzaStreamingEngineforEC2_UsersGuide.pdf)”, page 29, for a detailed description on how to create and use an AWS Wowza startup package.
