# Removing individual live stream packetizers to reduce memory consumption

Hello, this is a very similar post as your [older post here](http://community.wowza.com/t/-/36231) that seems to have been resolved via the Wowza support ticket system.

But to answer your question, if you have LiveStreamPacketizers, or the different playback types configured, but don’t actually use some of them, then turning off the ones

not used could save much memory usage. This will have no effect on the remaining playback types.
