# Recording stream with URL Query

Hi, I am trying to record a live stream with an URL Query, but when I go to incoming streams the recording is not active. Only the stream.  
I use this link: [http://ip-address:8086/livestreamrecord?app=live&action=startRecording&format=1&streamname=mystream](http://ip-address:8086/livestreamrecord?app=live&action=startRecording&format=1&streamname=mystream)  
What am I doing wrong?

I can offer you some tutorial assistance, but for us to truly diagnose, we can only troubleshoot through a support ticket. Reason being it requires us to have full access to your configuration and files.
