# Recorded videos are sometimes incomplete/choppy or have audio missing

I set my wowza application to record all incoming streams. Sometimes I get a behavior where a video will be cut off, be choppy in the middle, or the audio will stop halfway through. What may be the source of this issue?

One other issue I am experiencing is that recorded videos also seem to be cut off by 1-2 seconds? The whole video will be fine but just missing the last second.

Hi allanaw,
It could be a network connection issue, where the source timed out. You could check your access log located in **[install-dir]/logs** folder and see if you have stream timeout messages. I would also suggest monitoring the source stream through a third party application installed on your Wowza server to make sure that your source stream is not disconnecting.
