# Quick JConsole overview

Actually this is leaving out one step - “how to connect JConsole to your application (in this case Wowza Media Server) running at eg. 255.255.255.255:1935”. After that connection has been established successfully\*\* then the information above may be relevant. So how about it?

\*\*BTW - upon reading all of the posts in this section that is not as an “intuitive” task as one might think.
