# Possibility of EC384 for SSL Streaming with WebRTC

Hello everyone,

I am currently using Wowza Streaming Engine v4.9.2 for my streaming needs. I know that this version supports RSA for security. However, I need to know whether it also supports elliptic curve cryptography, specifically the EC384 algorithm.

I’ve checked the release notes and documentation, but couldn’t find a definitive answer on this. Has anyone here successfully implemented EC384 with Wowza Streaming Engine v4.9.2? Any guidance or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your question regarding elliptic curve cryptography (specifically EC384) support in Wowza Streaming Engine v4.9.2.

we’ve identified that EC384 is not currently supported in this version. This has been logged as a known issue and is being tracked under the internal reference number **ENG-1762**. Our Product Management team is currently reviewing it for potential inclusion in a future update.
