# playlist m3u8 for apple ios rejected

Hello,

Streams are playing fine from wowza2 but not from wowza3, when I opened m3u8 file in notepad, I see playlist.m3u8 file coming from wowza3 has stream reference url missing. Please see below:

This should not matter. What player are you attempting to use? Wowza Server 3 now uses relative playlist URLs which is what Apple suggests. There is more information here:

Hi mate,

I also having the same issue…when i save my playlist file, and was trying to play it…server URL is missing on that. Then i added requrired values to Application.xml, but still its not working

can you please help me to solve this.

Tharanga,

Saving the playlist is not supported for playback. Wowza will packetize live and on demand streams as necessary.

You can easily download .ts chunks if they are not encrypted, but there is nothing built-in to Wowza to facilitate that.

Hello Charlie,

Is there anyway we can turn it to absolute? I see it is working fine on my ipad2 with relative url but we are developing application and we want app to work with absolute url.
