# Playing back with no audio

hi there … I’ve a trivial question

I have incoming streams with video and audio, but I need to play them back without any audio

So far, I’ve been able to do that eliminating audio on player side, but it’s too complex as I need to control every player in use for the case

Also, I have tried transcoding the stream, eliminating the audio for the playback and doing passthrough of video … but it’s not really scalable

So, question is … is there a way to configure that playback must be video only or a way to say to ignore audio in the ingestion?

Hello,

You can use the [moduleAVMix](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-mix-audio-and-video-from-different-live-sources-moduleavmix%28ModuleAVMix%29) to [exclude the audio](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-mix-audio-and-video-from-different-live-sources-moduleavmix%28ModuleAVMix%29#avMixNames) from your source streams.
