Hello:

I have a stream in wowza and I’m recording it, so at the end of the stream I can replay it in a container.

The problem is that if something fails in the stream during the recording, the recording starts loosing the audio/video synchronization and never gets it back.

I’ve tried some parameters as “audioTCToleranceEnable” or “streamRecorderSplitOnTcDiscontinuity” but they doesn’t seem to be helping. The resulting recording is more broken even so.

Any possible way to fix this?

Thank you.

What version of Wowza are you running? Some changes have been made and they’re listed in the[Wowza Streaming Engine 4.4.0 Release Notes](https://www.wowza.com/docs/wowza-streaming-engine-4-4-0-release-notes).

> Improved the live-record recording process to ensure that audio and video are in sync by trimming audio and video from the start of recordings if audio is delayed from video.

What is the source of the stream? And the stream details, i.e. fps, audio/video codecs etc?

What do you mean by

> if something fails in the stream during the recording

You may be able to resolve this by[adding a buffe](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-turn-on-an-rtp-jitter-buffer-and-packet-loss-logging-rtp-and-mpeg-ts%28RTP-and-MPEG-TS%29)r to the recording application to re-align the audio/video but this shouldn’t be required given the above changes.

Please test the application with the sort buffer enabled and if you’re still having this issue, [open a ticket with our support team](https://www.wowza.com/support/open-ticket)

When creating a ticket, Please provide a ZIP file containing a detailed description of the problem, a copy of the [Wowza-Install]/conf/ directory and latest log files for analysis.

Linking to this thread for reference will also be very useful.
