# No audio when recording RTMP stream with Speex codec

Hi,

I’m trying to use the audio codec Speex instead of AAC, but whenever I do the recording Wowza creates has no audio stream. I see that Speex is supported, but do I need to do something special to get it working? I’m recording as mp4

Speex codec is not supported for output. It is for input and transcoding. Here is an article on what Wowza supports for output and formats:

Hi

I have setup my Wowza to take in live stream from RTSP web camera and I can view the output RTMP stream on VLC player.

But the same RTMP stream on my Wowza Test Player show only black screen when playing (Status: Started playing camera1.stream).

Is it because the source Audio is empty / non-supported?
