# New transcoder features (HEVC) and audio!

Hi!

It is nice you are adding support for HEVC, but we could really use the ability of the transcoder to follow the changes in audio format when using playlists. Not all items in the playlist have the same audio format and when the transcoder switches to the next item item, with different bitrate, depth or sampling frequency or channel count, it stops working or only gives strange noises.

Thank you very much for your report . HEVC/H.265 is currently still at the technical preview stage so we do really appreciate any feedback like this. I will follow this up with our engineering team.
