# Net Connection Failed error

hie,

I have followed the following steps to integrate wowza media server in [asp.net](http://asp.net) without using any web-services.

I created the following embed tag.

than I started wowza media server 3 using wowza startup. Now when i run my page in visual studio i am getting error net connection is failed.

Can anyone help me out with this i am new to wowza media server.

Hi

Have you created the application called “videorecording”

[install-dir]/applications/videorecording

[install-dir]/conf/videorecording

If so what do your Logs say when you try to connect etc…

Found here, [install-dir]/logs

That’s good, shows that port 1935 is open. You should be able to start using the examples like VideoChat.

Zip up Wowza conf and logs folders and send them to support@wowza.com

Include a link to this thread for reference.

Hi

Are you within the Fire-wall configurations?

If you tried to connect in the time frame of those logs then there is no connection error at all.

Can you go to http://[wowza-ip-address]:1935/serverinfo and see the wowza version number?

If you cant see this then this is a local problem/Fire-wall.

Can you try a NEW application for me (one of the examples) to show us that wowza is working properly please.

I know this is tedious but we will have to start somewhere…
