# nDVR Playlist Request API + ABR on origin - edge setup

Hi,

Live ABR playback is working on both the origin and edge. ([http://host:1935/edge\_live/stream.smil/playlist.m3u8](http://host:1935/edge_live/stream.smil/playlist.m3u8))

The nDVR PlaylistRequestAPI is working on the origin but it’s not working from the edge. ([http://host:1935/edge\_live/stream.smil/playlist.m3u8?DVR&start=29.05.2014.20.00.00&duration=5000](http://host:1935/edge_live/stream.smil/playlist.m3u8?DVR&start=29.05.2014.20.00.00&duration=5000))

We have the smil on the edge server and we are using DvrUtcStartDurationPlaylistRequestDelegate.

nDVR is working for each stream in the edge’s smil file, but not for the smil itself.

All I want is to do ABR on the Edge machine with the nDVR add-on.

Any ideas?

Have you tried adding the smil: prefix to the stream name?
