# Multicast Options with Wowza Streaming Engine

Greetings,

I am looking for information on what options are available for onsite multicasting? I am aware of Wowza’s Live Stream Repeater. I am looking for functionality similar to what Microsoft offered with Windows Media Services, however a solution that will work with HTML5 if possible.

Hello,

Wowza Streaming Engine does support multicast, but you have to use RTP, MPEG-TS protocols to deliver the video to plays like QuickTime or VLC. Silverlight embedded players should also support grabbing the RTP multicast stream from Wowza Streaming Engine.
