Hello @all,
we have an Transcoding-Farm with Wowza-Servers. Most of our Servers are Multi-Socket CPU Systems (i mean NOT Multi-Core!). The Machines are DELL Systems with 2 x Xeon E5-2630v4 or 2650v4. Operating System is Windows Server 2012R2, 2016 or 2019. We have installed latest Wowza 4.8.17. Java Version is 11.0.13.
If i see the Task-Manager, it looks like Java / Wowza uses only 1 of 2 CPU´s. On other Machines with one CPU (like Xeon W-2295 with 18C/36T) we see near an even utilization on all cores. See also appended Screenshots. Both Machines do Transcode 2 Ingest-Streams 720p50 @5Mbit into 3 Renderings and push HLS to the Akamai Network. No deliver to Endusers.

Is there a Setting that Java / Wowza advice to use both CPU´s or is the reason the operating system?
