Hi, everyone I’m having an issue where none of my MPEG-DASH streams are playing. This is happening on both VOD and live streams. My HLS, RTMP, and RTSP streams are working perfectly fine. When attempting to connect to the MPD stream in VLC, I either get the “this stream cannot be found” error message, or the orange play head just bounces back and forth. Testing in the Wowza Video Test Player results in a black screen and nothing else. In the monitoring panel, when testing the stream in VLC, MPD streams keep building up until I kill VLC. For instance, in about 5 minutes, 60 new streams are started. But no video ever reaches VLC. I’ve done a bunch of Google searches, no luck there. There is one thread in these forums, but it’s from 2018 with no replies. Hi @Chris_Melito sorry you didn’t get a reply in here, I was out on vacation. Did you send a support ticket and get it resolved? So the first thing I would suggest is looking at the manifest file for Engine to see why Engine can’t receive it. Did you look at all these properties already and make sure MPEG-DASH is properly enabled and configured? Is there audio in the file? [https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-do-mpeg-dash-streaming](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-do-mpeg-dash-streaming) Also, here is our MPEG-DASH troubleshooting doc: [https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-debug-mpeg-dash-streaming-in-wowza-streaming-engine](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-debug-mpeg-dash-streaming-in-wowza-streaming-engine) Also keep in mind once Engine can receive it, it requires a certain version of VLC to play Dash. But, I’m sure you’re using a fairly recent version. My guess based on the logs is this is an error in the properties, stream file name or chunk configuration. Tech support would definitely need to review your entire configuration and files in a support ticket for an accurate diagnosis though. Otherwise, it’s just guessing in here. Unfortunately, that error: _server (200) HTTPStreamerAdapterMPEGDashStreamer.onManifest: Stream not found_ will be thrown for several config errors so hard to identify. Tech support has more advanced testing tools though to find the exact cause.
