how to play mp4 video file as live, i know its been asked 1000’s times, but straight answers seems rare…

1. video in mp4 format

2. FMLE - Flash Media Live Encoder

3. SplitCam - support only MP3

4. already got AAC codec, but dnt work with SplitCam

5. virtual audio cable for sound cards

so here what i try to do, i play mp4(vod) using SplitCam, take input of video+audio from SplitCam to FLME, stream to wowza works fine.

but will not play on Mobile, as audio SplitCam sends is in MP3 format, and for mobile they need AAC.

* * *

So question is need to mp4 video using wowza on mobile device like live…

Hi

You can put your on demand files into a schedule and play them like a live stream by using the scheduler found here,

[https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-schedule-streaming-with-wowza-streaming-engine-streampublisher](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-schedule-streaming-with-wowza-streaming-engine-streampublisher)

If the content in the scheduler is compatible with an android device then it will play, if not the android will not be able to view the stream.

The stream type doesn’t make a difference (live/vod) if the audio or video codec is not supported it wont play.

Hi,

The schedule is normally only read when when Wowza Streaming Engine starts, or when the application starts, but you can make changes to Streams and Playlists dynamically. Take a look at [this example.](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-control-stream-class-streams-dynamically-modulestreamcontrol)

Hi,

Is there any tutorial for creating a live application using dynamic playlists?
