# Monitoring tool for Wowza instance/process?

Hi!

It seems that last weekend the wowza service froze up on my instance (my ebs was packed full :()

So I wanted to know what tools do you recommend to monitor the Wowza instance. Something that will let me know asap if something went wrong or is about to.

You can use JMX/JConsole for monitoring. See the [Quicktstart](http://wowza.com/quickstart.html#jconsole) guide for setting that up.

But it’s not going to send alerts, and it wouldn’t help with EBS volume being full.

Guilleart,

We are working into a service for Monitoring Wowza, using JMX and in this Beta state we can check more information over SNMP from your server, and send alert over email.

In this opportunity we can invite to participate into this beta service and contribute for improve the system.
