# Mime type for MP4 file on VOD applications \[jw player with HTML 5\]

Hello everybody,

I have some problem using HTML 5 version of jw player with the VOD application.

Everything is working fine with the flash version of the player i can play my VOD file but i need to use the HTML 5 version.

I understand the file send by the VOD application needs to have the mime type “video/mp4 .mp4”.

I tried to configure it in apache but it doesn’t seems to work.

Where can i configure the header mime type in wowza?

Hi,

Wowza server only supports HLS streaming for playback using the HTML5 methods.

You need to use a playlist.m3u8 url in your HTML5 player.
