# MediaCache and SmoothStreaming - Stream stopping for no Reason

Hello all,
We have a wowza running a mediacache for VOD’s. The VOD’s start just fine, but after a while (not a fixed time, could be 5 minutes or 40 minutes), the stream stops playing and skips to the next item in the playlist.
Log shows no error. Just that the streams for the videos are being created/played/destroyed and then it stops creating new streams until it skips to the next item:

Hello,
This is only occurring with Smooth streams or does an HLS stream also show this problem?
It might be helpful to turn on the debugHTTPRequests property as described on page 28 of the[Media Cache Users Guide](https://www.wowza.com/resources/WowzaStreamingEngine_MediaCacheUsersGuide.pdf).
