Hi,

I’m configuring Media cache on the wowza engine following the article : [https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-scale-video-on-demand-streaming-with-media-cache](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-scale-video-on-demand-streaming-with-media-cache) .

From the article, the Media cache is only working for Vod Edge Application. So I’m wondering if Media cache also working for Vod Origin Application? If it is possible, how to config it?

Thanks,

Monica

With MediaCache, the origin is a web server or a network share, not another Wowza server.

You have to use MediaCache, as shown in that guide, with web server or network share as the content origin. There is not a VOD origin/edge configuration where the origin is a a Wowza server.
