# Many published  streams, cpu load

Hello,

When I publish more than 100 live streams, the wowza streaming engine crashed. What is the maximum number of the

streams, the wowza can handle? ( the server is 16 cpu, 8 cores,Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2690 0 @ 2.90GHz machine, the

wowza is tuned as production system)

Hi,

It looks like you have reached your server’s maximum capacity. What was the server CPU and Memory load when it crashed?

You can calculate bandwidth requirements simply (stream bitrate), but CPU and RAM utilization are going to depend on the machine. You can use this [load test tool](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-get-flash-rtmp-load-test-tool) to get an idea what you are server can do.

The CPU load reaches 1600%. By the way, how can I calculate the CPU and RAM usage to publish a live streams of 600kb/s?
