# Manifest updates are stuck, shutting down stream!

When Streaming HLS ,And use RTSP Protocal to watch(use software VLC to watch).

The Video always shut down in the same part of video.

And the server error log is “CupertinoMediaCasterConnection.manifestUpdates: Manifest updates are stuck, shutting down stream!”.

How can I solve this error?

Is there any way you can do ingest of video with something else like RTMP and then do playback with HLS for testing purposes @Bronci Bronci?

It looks like a problem with the source stream, the manifest in this case is not something we’re creating.
