I followed the directions as described but the JWplayer says: ![](http://i.imgur.com/lTEc31x.jpg) I need JWplayer to take our live stream and make it playable on IOS Android and Desktop, so far I can only get desktop to work. ---

Hi, You need to ensure that you are at least using the JW player Premium edition. That edition contains all features of the Pro edition, plus adaptive streaming using Apple HLS in Flash. If you are using the Pro or the Free version, Apple HLS streaming will not be available. Daren ---

Hi, JW Player has had their solution around for a while now, so in terms of reliability, and features, it’s a good choice. [Flowplayer](https://flowplayer.org) is an alternative and it has support for HLS since it’s 5.3 version. Daren ---

Are there any alternatives to JWplayer? I really don’t feel like shelling out $300 for HLS streaming… that is ludicrous. I don’t need 75% of the features in the premium edition. ---

Hi SETVproducer, yes there are lots of alternative of jwplayer , but as daren\_j told before jw player the most popular and the has great api etc but lack of documentation, so complicated.
