# Load Balancing and SecureToken

I’m about to reconfigure our Wowza Streaming Engine setup to use the Load Balancing add-on because we’re growing and want to spin up some edge servers.

It appears that the URLs that the clients will use to connect to the streams will change to include “/redirect/” in their path. We use SecureToken to prevent unauthorized playback. Will redirection and SecureToken play well together?

After taking the plunge with load balancing, it appears that SecureToken still works with the redirection. Just be sure to follow the URL form in the load balancing installation guide by adding the “/redirect/” and removing “/playlist.m3u8” and adding the additional parameter “&type=m3u8”.
