# Live Streaming with Sony Anycast?

Hi everybody,

we’re in the process of selecting some live streaming equipment for our University courses at the moment.

Currently we are testing with a Sony Anycast AWS-G500E station. Is it possible to stream from there to a running Wowza server? As far as I can see, the Anycast produces a RealVideo stream (codec RV40) without the possibility to change this.

The [product page](http://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/product-AWSG500E/) says it includes a “Streaming encoder and streaming server”, but I don’t think this encoder will be directly supported. Wikipedia says " RealVideo 9 [its video codec], suspected to be based on H.264 (included with RealPlayer 9)", but the brochure doesn’t say h.264 anywhere.
