# Live Streaming of HLS and HDS content packaged from a Cisco Encoder

Is there a way to use the Wowza server just to act as a Content Deliver Server and serve live video streams to clients. We have Cisco Media Encoder 8300(Spinnaker/Inlet). It does all the encoding, packaging and file segmentation. We just need a server to push it to out on the edge to feed it to clients. Is this possible?

No, this is not supported in Wowza. Wowza does not support ingest of pre-segmented files. Wowza packetizes for HLS, HDS and Smooth, and mpeg-dash and nDVR.
