I try to update and receive this massage Verifying running as administrative user Verifying Java 11 or greater is available Your symbolically linked Java version at …/…/…/java/bin/java is incompatible. Wowza Streaming Engine requires a Java version between 11 and 12. Found Java version: ‘9.0.4’ at path: ‘/bin/java’ Wowza Streaming Engine 4.8.18 requires a Java 11 or greater VM to be installed. Before attempting to run the server, please install a Java 11 compatible VM. Wowza Streaming Engine won’t start without a Java version between 11 and 12. [root@stg-wmsorg-02 linux]# ---

Hi there, thanks for pointing this out, we have an issue with the link on the Wowza account page. This should work for now while we update the Wowza site @DEO_ETV [https://www.wowza.com/downloads/WowzaStreamingEngine-4-8-19+4/jdk-11.0.13\_linux-x64\_bin.tar.gz](https://www.wowza.com/downloads/WowzaStreamingEngine-4-8-19+4/jdk-11.0.13_linux-x64_bin.tar.gz) * * * If you are updating to Wowza Streaming Engine 4.8.19 from a base installation of Wowza Streaming Engine 4.8.17 or earlier, before you update, you need to install a supported version of Java, such as Java 11-12 or the OpenJDK Java SE JRE 11.0.2 installed with Wowza Streaming Engine 4.8.18 (available from the **Downloads** tab of [My Account](https://portal.wowza.com/account/downloads)). Then instruct Wowza Streaming Engine to use that version of Java according to the instructions in [Manually install and troubleshoot Java on Wowza Streaming Engine](https://www.wowza.com/docs/manually-install-and-troubleshoot-java-on-wowza-streaming-engine). For step-by-step instructions on how to install or update Wowza Streaming Engine, see the following articles: - **Install** – [Install and configure Wowza Streaming Engine](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-install-and-configure-wowza-streaming-engine) - **Update** – [Update your Wowza Streaming Engine installation](https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-update-your-wowza-streaming-engine-installation)
