# Italic and bold subtitles with adaptive stream

Is it possible to make italic or bold effect in subtitles (srt, ttml) with adaptive vod stream? I had success with non-adaptive stream.

I wrote it like this:

**boldtext**

_italictext_

Hi,

This might work in some places but not others.

We don’t really have a full implementation of styles.

What players and/or devices are you targeting?

Do you have examples of where it is working and where it is not?
